# Magic AI Background Eraser vs Eraser

The clearest difference is update cadence: Eraser at every 5 days against Magic AI Background Eraser's monthly. Eraser also leads on ratings volume (1.1K vs 89). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Magic AI Background Eraser sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Eraser sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $5.49 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Magic AI Background Eraser holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eraser has 1.1K ratings behind it against 89, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 42% of Magic AI Background Eraser's written reviews are positive against 44% of Eraser's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Magic AI Background Eraser ships an update monthly, Eraser every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
