# Chess Mega Bundle vs Ocean Chess

The clearest difference is update cadence: Ocean Chess at every 5 days against Chess Mega Bundle's every 7 months. Chess Mega Bundle's advantage is iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Chess Mega Bundle sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Ocean Chess sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Chess Mega Bundle ships an update every 7 months, Ocean Chess every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
