# ēdn vs 3R

The clearest difference is rating: 3R at 2.7 against ēdn's 2.2. ēdn's advantage is iOS requirement (13.3 vs 16.4). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

3R holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 2.2. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 18 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 32% of ēdn's written reviews are positive against 25% of 3R's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

ēdn ships an update monthly, 3R every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 12, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
