# SmileSet vs Smile Express

The clearest difference is ads: Smile Express at none against SmileSet's shown. Smile Express also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 18.6). SmileSet's advantage is chart position (#198 vs unranked) and update cadence (weekly vs fortnightly). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SmileSet ships an update weekly, Smile Express fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and October 25, 2026 respectively.
