# pronoPointsScan vs 3D Scanner

The clearest difference is rating: pronoPointsScan at 5.0 against 3D Scanner's 4.4. pronoPointsScan also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 26.0). 3D Scanner's advantage is ratings volume (55 vs 4). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. pronoPointsScan sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and 3D Scanner sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

pronoPointsScan holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 3D Scanner has 55 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

pronoPointsScan ships an update every 3 weeks, 3D Scanner every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
