# FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer vs PomoPop

The clearest difference is ads: FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer at none against PomoPop's shown. FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer also leads on review sentiment (89% vs 60%) and ratings volume (8K vs 2). PomoPop's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.8) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and PomoPop sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PomoPop holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer has 8K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer's written reviews are positive against 60% of PomoPop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer ships an update every 2 weeks, PomoPop weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
