# FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer vs Scroll Counts

The clearest difference is monetization model: FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer at freemium against Scroll Counts's subscription. FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer also leads on ratings volume (7.9K vs 13) and device support (5 vs 2). Scroll Counts's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 89%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer sells 18 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Scroll Counts sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer has 7.9K ratings behind it against 13, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 89% of FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer's written reviews are positive against 100% of Scroll Counts's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

FocusPomo · Pomodoro Timer ships an update every 2 weeks, Scroll Counts weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
