# Time Tracker vs Day Tracker

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Time Tracker at 89 against Day Tracker's 1. Time Tracker also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 3 months). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Time Tracker sells 5 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Day Tracker sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.9 for Time Tracker against 5.0 for Day Tracker. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Time Tracker has 89 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Time Tracker ships an update fortnightly, Day Tracker every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
