# ChipIn Shot Tracker vs Ace Trace

The clearest difference is monetization model: ChipIn Shot Tracker at free with in-app purchases against Ace Trace's subscription. ChipIn Shot Tracker also leads on ads (none vs shown). Ace Trace's advantage is chart position (#107 vs unranked) and ratings volume (2K vs 385). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChipIn Shot Tracker sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Ace Trace sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.4 for ChipIn Shot Tracker against 4.3 for Ace Trace. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ace Trace has 2K ratings behind it against 385, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 47% of ChipIn Shot Tracker's written reviews are positive against 51% of Ace Trace's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
