# Incremental vs Atoms

Incremental and Atoms both sit at 5.0 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Incremental's written reviews are positive against 56% of Atoms's. Incremental also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2). Atoms's advantage is ratings volume (11K vs 6) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Atoms sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Incremental asks for nothing beyond the download.

Incremental holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Atoms has 11K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Incremental's written reviews are positive against 56% of Atoms's.

Incremental ships an update every 2 months, Atoms every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 11, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
