# Stix vs MATA APP

The clearest difference is rating: Stix at 4.8 against MATA APP's 4.2. Stix also leads on ratings volume (93 vs 15). MATA APP's advantage is update cadence (every 8 days vs every 2 months) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Stix holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Stix has 93 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 11% and 12% positive.

Stix ships an update every 2 months, MATA APP every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
