# NoteCircle vs xTiles

The clearest difference is rating: NoteCircle at 4.6 against xTiles's 3.5. NoteCircle also leads on review sentiment (70% vs 35%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 10 days). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. NoteCircle sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and xTiles sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $15.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

NoteCircle holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NoteCircle has 1.2K ratings behind it against 125, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 70% of NoteCircle's written reviews are positive against 35% of xTiles's.

NoteCircle ships an update every 3 days, xTiles every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and October 9, 2026 respectively.
