# VPN vs XyAnonymous

The clearest difference is rating: VPN at 4.7 against XyAnonymous's 4.1. VPN also leads on ratings volume (457K vs 99) and chart position (#21 vs unranked). XyAnonymous's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 84%). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days and XyAnonymous sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $15.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VPN has 457K ratings behind it against 99, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 84% of VPN's written reviews are positive against 100% of XyAnonymous's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN ships an update every 2 weeks, XyAnonymous weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
