# Tutor vs NotesXP

The clearest difference is update cadence: NotesXP at every 11 days against Tutor's monthly. NotesXP also leads on ratings volume (53 vs 5) and device support (3 vs 1). Tutor's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 86%) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tutor sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $29.99 per month and NotesXP sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tutor holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: NotesXP has 53 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 100% of Tutor's written reviews are positive against 86% of NotesXP's.

Tutor ships an update monthly, NotesXP every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 4, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
