# Area Measure vs TruePlot

The clearest difference is ads: Area Measure at none against TruePlot's shown. TruePlot's advantage is update cadence (every 10 days vs every 69 months). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Area Measure sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and TruePlot sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Area Measure ships an update every 69 months, TruePlot every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on October 18, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
