# VPN Fastway vs PDF Scanner

The clearest difference is review sentiment: PDF Scanner at 82% against VPN Fastway's 25%. PDF Scanner also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs subscription) and update cadence (every 2 months vs every 10 months). VPN Fastway's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. VPN Fastway sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and PDF Scanner sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

VPN Fastway holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 57 and 28 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of VPN Fastway's written reviews are positive against 82% of PDF Scanner's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VPN Fastway ships an update every 10 months, PDF Scanner every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 23, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
