# Optimum vs Shoof TV

Optimum and Shoof TV both sit at 4.5 stars, but that hides the real split: 100% of Shoof TV's written reviews are positive against 15% of Optimum's. Shoof TV also leads on update cadence (every 10 days vs every 4 months). Optimum's advantage is ratings volume (29K vs 15). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Optimum against 4.6 for Shoof TV. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Optimum has 29K ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 15% of Optimum's written reviews are positive against 100% of Shoof TV's.

Optimum ships an update every 4 months, Shoof TV every 10 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
