# Optimum vs Clique

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Clique at 100% against Optimum's 15%. Clique also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5) and update cadence (every 5 days vs every 4 months). Optimum's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (29K vs 6). On price, in-app purchases, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Clique holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Optimum has 29K ratings behind it against 6, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 15% of Optimum's written reviews are positive against 100% of Clique's.

Optimum ships an update every 4 months, Clique every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 28, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
