# Hidden Journey 2 vs Big City

The clearest difference is ads: Big City at none against Hidden Journey 2's shown. Big City also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). Hidden Journey 2's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 9 months) and review sentiment (60% vs 46%). On price, rating, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hidden Journey 2 sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Big City sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Hidden Journey 2 against 4.5 for Big City. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hidden Journey 2 has 20K ratings behind it against 1.6K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 60% of Hidden Journey 2's written reviews are positive against 46% of Big City's.

Hidden Journey 2 ships an update every 2 months, Big City every 9 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
