# Nobu vs The BoTree

The clearest difference is rating: The BoTree at 4.5 against Nobu's 4.2. The BoTree also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and device support (3 vs 1). Nobu's advantage is ratings volume (19 vs 2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

The BoTree holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.2. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Nobu has 19 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Nobu ships an update every 4 months, The BoTree every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on October 25, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
