# Forrest vs Interval Flow

The clearest difference is monetization model: Forrest at free with in-app purchases against Interval Flow's subscription. Forrest also leads on review sentiment (74% vs 48%) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 18.6). Interval Flow's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, rating, ratings volume and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Forrest sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and Interval Flow sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 3 months. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Forrest against 4.7 for Interval Flow. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 230 and 167 respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 74% of Forrest's written reviews are positive against 48% of Interval Flow's.

Forrest ships an update monthly, Interval Flow fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
