# Hero WOD vs WODwell

The clearest difference is ads: WODwell at none against Hero WOD's shown. WODwell also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). Hero WOD's advantage is ratings volume (55 vs 7) and iOS requirement (13.4 vs 15.1). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hero WOD sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month and WODwell sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $39.00 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
