# MOSC vs Captain Drop

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Captain Drop at 74% against MOSC's 25%. Captain Drop also leads on iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). MOSC's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 1.0) and update cadence (every 5 days vs monthly). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. MOSC sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $6.49 per 3 months and Captain Drop sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MOSC holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 1 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of MOSC's written reviews are positive against 74% of Captain Drop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MOSC ships an update every 5 days, Captain Drop monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 15, 2026 respectively.
