# One Deep Breath vs Breathwork Timer

The clearest difference is rating: One Deep Breath at 4.9 against Breathwork Timer's 4.3. One Deep Breath also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (153 vs 8). Breathwork Timer's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 91%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. One Deep Breath sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Breathwork Timer sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

One Deep Breath holds the better App Store score, 4.9 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: One Deep Breath has 153 ratings behind it against 8, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of One Deep Breath's written reviews are positive against 100% of Breathwork Timer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

One Deep Breath ships an update every 2 weeks, Breathwork Timer every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
