# Krypton vs WAS

The clearest difference is update cadence: WAS at fortnightly against Krypton's every 10 months. WAS also leads on ratings volume (96 vs 2). Krypton's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.6) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 16.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Krypton costs $2.99 and WAS $2.49 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Krypton holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WAS has 96 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Krypton ships an update every 10 months, WAS fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 9, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
