The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SubDojo at none against Walling's 1. SubDojo also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Walling's advantage is ratings volume (325 vs 1) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Walling sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $59.99 per year. SubDojo asks for nothing beyond the download.
