# Smart Life Philco vs SimplePets

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SimplePets at 100% against Smart Life Philco's 36%. SimplePets also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 9 months). Smart Life Philco's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 2.3). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Smart Life Philco holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 2.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 2 and 3 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 36% of Smart Life Philco's written reviews are positive against 100% of SimplePets's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Smart Life Philco ships an update every 9 months, SimplePets every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 7, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
