# Lie Detector Test vs Lie Detector

The clearest difference is rating: Lie Detector at 5.0 against Lie Detector Test's 3.8. Lie Detector also leads on ads (none vs shown). Lie Detector Test's advantage is ratings volume (14 vs 1) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 13.0). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Lie Detector Test sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and Lie Detector sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Lie Detector holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Lie Detector Test has 14 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Lie Detector Test ships an update every 3 months, Lie Detector every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
