# iMarkdown vs Metion

The clearest difference is rating: iMarkdown at 5.0 against Metion's 4.3. iMarkdown also leads on review sentiment (90% vs 60%) and update cadence (every 3 days vs every 2 weeks). Metion's advantage is ratings volume (46 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. iMarkdown sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Metion sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

iMarkdown holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metion has 46 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 90% of iMarkdown's written reviews are positive against 60% of Metion's.

iMarkdown ships an update every 3 days, Metion every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 18, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
