# Firespot vs Surf Agent

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Firespot at 6K against Surf Agent's 3. Surf Agent's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and update cadence (weekly vs every 3 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Firespot sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $29.99 per year and Surf Agent sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $2.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Surf Agent holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Firespot has 6K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Firespot ships an update every 3 weeks, Surf Agent weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 27, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
