# Darkroom Streaming vs Mometu

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Mometu at 72% against Darkroom Streaming's 35%. Mometu also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 14) and ratings volume (636 vs 1). Darkroom Streaming's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). On price, update cadence and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Darkroom Streaming sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Mometu asks for nothing beyond the download.

Darkroom Streaming holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Mometu has 636 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Darkroom Streaming's written reviews are positive against 72% of Mometu's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Darkroom Streaming ships an update every 3 weeks, Mometu every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 23, 2026 respectively.
