# Darkroom Streaming vs Criticless

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Criticless at 92% against Darkroom Streaming's 35%. Criticless also leads on ratings volume (44 vs 1) and iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Darkroom Streaming's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and rating (5.0 vs 4.8). On price, update cadence, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Darkroom Streaming sells 8 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Criticless sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Darkroom Streaming holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Criticless has 44 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of Darkroom Streaming's written reviews are positive against 92% of Criticless's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Darkroom Streaming ships an update every 3 weeks, Criticless every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
