# AU vs AcadAI

The clearest difference is rating: AcadAI at 4.6 against AU's 3.0. AcadAI also leads on ads (none vs shown) and ratings volume (2.2K vs 3). AU's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 9) and review sentiment (67% vs 47%). On price, update cadence, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AcadAI sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days. AU asks for nothing beyond the download.

AcadAI holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: AcadAI has 2.2K ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 67% of AU's written reviews are positive against 47% of AcadAI's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

AU ships an update every 2 weeks, AcadAI weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
