# Metion vs Seeds思记

The clearest difference is rating: Metion at 4.3 against Seeds思记's 3.7. Metion also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 8 months) and ratings volume (46 vs 3). Seeds思记's advantage is iOS requirement (12.0 vs 14.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metion sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Seeds思记 sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Metion holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metion has 46 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Metion ships an update every 2 weeks, Seeds思记 every 8 months. The most recent releases landed on October 13, 2026 and October 6, 2026 respectively.
