# Metion vs Miaodi

The clearest difference is rating: Miaodi at 5.0 against Metion's 4.3. Miaodi also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 60%) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). Metion's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (46 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metion sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and Miaodi sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Miaodi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metion has 46 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 60% of Metion's written reviews are positive against 100% of Miaodi's.

Metion ships an update every 2 weeks, Miaodi every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 7, 2026 respectively.
