# Metion vs 元气码字

The clearest difference is rating: Metion at 4.3 against 元气码字's 3.0. Metion also leads on ratings volume (46 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Metion sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month and 元气码字 sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Metion holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Metion has 46 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 60% and 59% positive.

Metion ships an update every 2 weeks, 元气码字 every 11 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 11, 2026 respectively.
