# FitSteps On Demand vs DanceBox

The clearest difference is monetization model: DanceBox at free with in-app purchases against FitSteps On Demand's subscription. DanceBox also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months). FitSteps On Demand's advantage is device support (4 vs 2). On price, review sentiment, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. FitSteps On Demand sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and DanceBox sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

FitSteps On Demand ships an update every 2 months, DanceBox fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 19, 2026 and October 21, 2026 respectively.
