# RSSBud vs ChatX

RSSBud and ChatX both sit at 4.6 stars, but that hides the real split: 88% of ChatX's written reviews are positive against 50% of RSSBud's. ChatX also leads on ratings volume (481 vs 27) and update cadence (fortnightly vs every 6 weeks). RSSBud's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 6). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ChatX sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. RSSBud asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for RSSBud against 4.6 for ChatX. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ChatX has 481 ratings behind it against 27, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 50% of RSSBud's written reviews are positive against 88% of ChatX's.
