# DecisionMentor vs Ask Assist

The clearest difference is rating: Ask Assist at 4.5 against DecisionMentor's 4.0. Ask Assist also leads on ratings volume (12K vs 4) and update cadence (every 9 days vs every 5 weeks). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. DecisionMentor sells 1 in-app purchase, starting at $3.99 per month and Ask Assist sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Ask Assist holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Ask Assist has 12K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

DecisionMentor ships an update every 5 weeks, Ask Assist every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 5, 2026 respectively.
