# VSI Spray Control vs BACMeter

The clearest difference is rating: BACMeter at 5.0 against VSI Spray Control's 4.6. VSI Spray Control's advantage is review sentiment (25% vs 0%) and ratings volume (175 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

BACMeter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: VSI Spray Control has 175 ratings behind it against 3, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 25% of VSI Spray Control's written reviews are positive against 0% of BACMeter's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

VSI Spray Control ships an update every 3 weeks, BACMeter monthly. The most recent releases landed on October 15, 2026 and September 21, 2026 respectively.
