# Color Widgets vs Aesthetic

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Aesthetic at none against Color Widgets's 10. Aesthetic also leads on ads (none vs shown) and update cadence (every 3 days vs monthly). Color Widgets's advantage is ratings volume (528K vs 20K) and chart position (#155 vs unranked). On price, rating and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Color Widgets sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Aesthetic asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.6 for Color Widgets against 4.6 for Aesthetic. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Color Widgets has 528K ratings behind it against 20K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 64% of Color Widgets's written reviews are positive against 84% of Aesthetic's.

Color Widgets ships an update monthly, Aesthetic every 3 days. Both last shipped on October 31, 2026.
