# Color Widgets vs Flop

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Color Widgets at 528K against Flop's 312. Color Widgets also leads on monetization model (free with in-app purchases vs paid) and chart position (#112 vs unranked). Flop's advantage is review sentiment (84% vs 64%). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Color Widgets sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Flop sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Color Widgets holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Color Widgets has 528K ratings behind it against 312, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 64% of Color Widgets's written reviews are positive against 84% of Flop's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Color Widgets ships an update monthly, Flop every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 5, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
