# Think Academy Student vs Mathplore

The clearest difference is rating: Think Academy Student at 3.9 against Mathplore's 3.4. Think Academy Student also leads on ratings volume (297 vs 5). Mathplore's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 5) and review sentiment (80% vs 68%). On price, update cadence, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Think Academy Student sells 5 one-off in-app purchases. Mathplore asks for nothing beyond the download.

Think Academy Student holds the better App Store score, 3.9 against 3.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Think Academy Student has 297 ratings behind it against 5, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 68% of Think Academy Student's written reviews are positive against 80% of Mathplore's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
