# Custom Fonts° vs Pilot

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: Pilot at none against Custom Fonts°'s 9. Pilot also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and rating (5.0 vs 4.6). Custom Fonts°'s advantage is ratings volume (12K vs 2) and device support (3 vs 1). On price and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Custom Fonts° sells 9 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days. Pilot asks for nothing beyond the download.

Pilot holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Custom Fonts° has 12K ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of Custom Fonts°'s written reviews are positive against 100% of Pilot's.
