# DeTeXt vs ThinkMate

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: DeTeXt at none against ThinkMate's 3. ThinkMate's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (16.0 vs 26.0). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. ThinkMate sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. DeTeXt asks for nothing beyond the download.

DeTeXt ships an update every 2 months, ThinkMate every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
