# Create Widgets for Home Screen vs Aesthetic & Custom Homescreen

The clearest difference is ads: Aesthetic & Custom Homescreen at none against Create Widgets for Home Screen's shown. Aesthetic & Custom Homescreen also leads on iOS requirement (14.0 vs 17.0). Create Widgets for Home Screen's advantage is review sentiment (71% vs 40%) and ratings volume (145 vs 20). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Create Widgets for Home Screen sells 10 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days and Aesthetic & Custom Homescreen sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Aesthetic & Custom Homescreen holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Create Widgets for Home Screen has 145 ratings behind it against 20, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of Create Widgets for Home Screen's written reviews are positive against 40% of Aesthetic & Custom Homescreen's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Create Widgets for Home Screen ships an update monthly, Aesthetic & Custom Homescreen every 3 weeks. Both last shipped on November 3, 2026.
