# 5 Second Rule vs Gamodify

The clearest difference is rating: Gamodify at 5.0 against 5 Second Rule's 4.5. Gamodify also leads on update cadence (every 5 days vs every 6 weeks) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 15.0). 5 Second Rule's advantage is ratings volume (3.2K vs 1) and chart position (#93 vs unranked). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. 5 Second Rule sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per 7 days and Gamodify sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $19.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Gamodify holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: 5 Second Rule has 3.2K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

5 Second Rule ships an update every 6 weeks, Gamodify every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 4, 2026 respectively.
