# AxNote vs Simple Note

The clearest difference is ads: AxNote at none against Simple Note's shown. Simple Note's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 26.0). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AxNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Simple Note sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AxNote ships an update every 2 months, Simple Note every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
