# AxNote vs NoteWork

The clearest difference is review sentiment: NoteWork at 100% against AxNote's 50%. NoteWork also leads on update cadence (every 4 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 26.0). AxNote's advantage is monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. AxNote sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and NoteWork sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

AxNote ships an update every 2 months, NoteWork every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on September 19, 2026 and September 17, 2026 respectively.
