# BahaiBookstore vs Bookshop.org

The clearest difference is update cadence: Bookshop.org at every 5 days against BahaiBookstore's every 2 months. Bookshop.org also leads on ratings volume (2.3K vs 24) and rating (4.8 vs 4.5). BahaiBookstore's advantage is review sentiment (86% vs 57%) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 16.4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Bookshop.org holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Bookshop.org has 2.3K ratings behind it against 24, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 86% of BahaiBookstore's written reviews are positive against 57% of Bookshop.org's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

BahaiBookstore ships an update every 2 months, Bookshop.org every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on November 3, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
